Isabella Willinger

2023, Colour, 102 min

A well-known problem revisited: In her comprehensive documentary, Isa Willinger investigates the material. Through alarming imagery, she reveals the damage it causes in nature, to animals, and humans. However, she doesn’t overlook its benefits. Willinger explores environmentally friendly methods of plastic production and engages in interviews with representatives from the plastic industry, scientists, and activists. The film portrays the current handling of the problem, which doesn’t inspire excessive optimism, but it also emphasizes that solutions do exist.

All are Welcome!

kundeti kommu
Sat May 2, 8:00 PM
Jans Theatre
The story centers around a village where people believe in superstitions and are easily influenced by rumors and false claims. A symbolic object—the “kundeti kommu” (ram’s horn)—becomes the focus of exaggerated belief and manipulation.

Certain characters take advantage of villagers’ ignorance for personal gain. As misunderstandings grow, conflicts arise. Eventually, truth and reason challenge blind faith, exposing hypocrisy and social foolishness.
