"Calligraphy is frozen poetry. It may well be simply an artistic version of another form, that is the ideograms which make up the poem, but then not only does it reflect the character and temperament of the artist but also its heart rate and breathing."
Lamakaan presents a two workshops for enthusiasts on Calligraphy for young and elders on 27th Oct Sunday at 11am and at 2pm. In the two-hour sessions one will learn how to grip the calligraphy pen - to writing their own invitation for their next family function.
Ms. Monika Lokhanday will be teaching the art in English, Hindi, Urdu and Arabic scripts. Fee: Rs.400 (includes providing Calligraphy Pen and writing material).
