People from the LGBTQIA community are most likely to live away from traditional family,be diagnosed with mental illnesses (rightly or not)and still they are least likely to opt for palliative care at the end of life.
Research in The US and Uk have shown that they are more likely to go back into the closet or fear discrimination that might affect the treatment outcome.This meet will discuss a few studies from there and seek to find our answers in Indian context through a questionaire.
