Mrs. Vani, Bridge Camp Warden at Chandrayanagutta. Madam assumed an overall responsibility of over 1600 tudents who were brought to camp from child labour. These girls successfully completed the bridge course and were later sent to mainstream schools. She was instrumental in providing the necessary care and love along with the education for all the girls who were enrolled in the bridge course.
All the above 5 young women were once dropouts and were rescued under various circumstances as child labour and sent to school. It took years of persistence from the social workers, teachers and their own determination to excel and exceed the expectations of the society to bring these girls to realise thier dreams. The two ladies Mrs. Alivelu and Mrs. Vani come with decdes of experience and play a very important role in the support system that enables out of school girls to pursue education and careers they prefer.
