National Health Policy - Forum
Thu Feb 6, 2:00 PM
Tanveer Fatima
Health is a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity. Health also means the capacities and abilities to play useful roles in society, to adjust ourselves to environmental changes and to cope with all related problems.”
The National Health Policy-2002 aims at reviving and emerging the ailing health system and increasing the primary health sector outlay to ensure a more equitable access to health services across the social and geographical expanse of the country.
However, the main objective of the policy is to achieve an acceptable standard of good health among the general population by the country. The approach of the policy is to increase access to the decentralized public health system by establishing new infrastructure in deficient areas and by upgrading the infrastructure in the existing institutions.
Students of EFLU are conducting this public debate as a part of their study crse.
All are invited.
