Climate Change Songs-Enda Reilly

The artist sings three to four songs on climate change issues and engages children in an intensive discussion of what climate change is. The children will be introduced to the constituents of air, the greenhouse effect, ice caps, carbon footprints, etc.

This is a part of Hyderabad Literary Festival on going in various venues in Hyderabad from 24-26 Jan - where Enda Reilly's country Ireland is the Guest nation for this year.

Irish singer-songwriter Enda Reilly writes in both Irish and English and conducts Climate Change Songs Workshops initiative, bringing fun songs and environmental issues into schools and other groups.

Enda has represented Ireland at the Nós Úr minority languages event in Inverness, Scotland and his song Dónal Ná Fág sung by Aoife Scott, represented Ireland in Liet, Italy in 2012 for the minority languages song competition there. Arise and Go!, a collaboration with the Irish contemporary poet Stephen James Smith, which is a collection of poetry and original works performed by blending spoken word and song is going from strength to strength with their video of WB Yeat’s September 1913 being aired both on RTÉ’s TV show The Works and the IFTA award winning “No Country For Old Men” documentary.


This workshop is open for all. Especially children are welcome to participate and sing along.
