A satirical comedy play, revolving around 2 neighbours.

This an hour long adaptation of a short play which won ,5 awards in Dramanon skits 2015 competition staged by kalpanik.

Jure, a traveler from Slovenia, who has visited 34 countries so far, will share his travel experiences with us.

In all modern democracies, the designated officers of the state are authorised to use force against citizens. The operative word here is designated and authorised. In other words, all use of force by such officers is subject to regulation and open to scrutiny. It is important that transparency and accountability are demonstrated in such regulation and scrutiny. Against the backdrop of the incidents in Malkangiri & Bhopal we invite you to a panel discussion on how the standards of regulation and scrutiny of the actions of the policemen are being adhered to.

Compulsion from parents and relatives cause a youth to reach the seminary. Though pursuing the path of St. Francis of Assissi, the challenges and conflicts in life and seminary transforms him revengeful and quits the place. It is his journey of self discovery in which he travels far and wide, most often in to the depths of forests. Spirituality, revengeful and encounters in nature unveil the philosophical approach of the film. The names of the characters are not revealed and their time and space are unspecified.

Short Synopsis: Two filmmaker friends meet after fourteen years and have to spend a span of eight to ten hours together. As they celebrate the re-union, one narrates a story of a possible film to another. But soon, as the secession turns into a game of one up-man-ship; their bizarre past catches up with them. Central to this is the fatherhood of a fourteen year old girl! The duo by the end realise that they are as bankrupt as ever, in all sense of the word.
Director’s Note:This film is a sort of a reflection on my own profession, filmmaking. The genesis of this reflection is the fundamental question of the ability or inability to create something 'worthwhile'. The idea is to explore what is it to have such a ‘being’. Therefore, the film intends to go beyond its apparent subject.

About the Director: Ramchandra PN is a 1991 graduate from the ‘Film and TV Institute of India’. Over the years, he has been making documentaries, features, short films and TV programs. His first feature ‘Suddha’ (The Cleansing Rites) won him the Best Indian Film at the Osian Cinefan Festival of Asian Films, New Delhi, India in 2006 and an exhibition grant from ‘Hubart Bals Fund’, Netherlands. His second feature film ‘Putaani Party’ (The Kid Gang) won him the Best Children’s film at the Indian National Film Awards, 2009. It was also in consideration for the Asia Pacific Screen Awards Nomination, the same year.

illision BOUND is an experimental indie feature film from Protestarise features. Till now it has only had private screenings. It is a not for profit venture that addresses the issue of oppression and freedom from control of thought, feeling and expression. Discussions are encouraged post the screening. The filmmakers will be in Hyderabad next week and hope to screen the movie at lamakaan. No fee will be charged to attendees.

English Grammar, read it as Priscriptive Grammar, opines that the onus of communicating what one wants to communicate without any ambiguity is on the Speaker/Writer. Pragmatics (more popularly known as Descriptive Grammar) opines that a certain degree of empathy from the Listener/Reader is required for a Communication Event to result in a Win-Win for both the Speaker and the Listener or the Writer and the Reader. This Workshop on English Grammar Vs. Pragmatics is all about letting the participants know how a balance can be struck between the two opposing viewpoints. CHAI EDHI BE? is a Original MANCH Theatre's Production. It's a hilarious comedy Telugu play written and Directed by Srikanth Banala.

This play revolves around a tea seller who has a dream of getting a broken relationship intact, presented in a semi rural setup, this play makes you laugh throughout the conversations between variety of people thronging the tea stall. The rest of the play is how the tea seller makes things happen and makes things end well.

Sagar Dhara is the head of Hyderabad based Cerana Foundation, a think tank on energy, environment and development, which also helps populations at risk from environmental stressors.

Nakaab is a play about those people in our society who are responsible for the degradation of the entire society. The play not only shows the characters of a particular class but also is a strong satire on the actions of all the dishonest people belonging to the other classes as well. The play dramatically presents many of the unseen problems we face today as a result of these people and their actions. The language of the play consists of the words which are used in a metaphorical manner in many situations .



It is an improvised play by children which has been prepared under the Children's Theatre Workshop(Weekend) by Samahaara.

About the Play:
SAAG-MEAT is a story written by an eminent writer Bhishma Sahni. This story talks about a relationship between two classes of our society. Jagga, the servant who works for a Punjabi family and who is the most loyal servant anyone can have, but an undesirable incident forces Jagga to take away his own life. And all this is narrated by Sumitra, the protagonist, who unfolds the truth of Jagga's death in a humorous way. The entire story is narrated while cooking Saag Meat in front of the audience, so that the not only enjoys the story but also taste the flavors.

He graduated from the Institute of Rural Management in Anand and has a PhD for his work on India and Intellectual Property Rights from the Jamia Milia Central University in New Delhi.

This an hour long adaptation of a short play which won ,5 awards in Dramanon skits 2015 competition staged by kalpanik.

Though pursuing the path of St. Francis of Assissi, the challenges and conflicts in life and seminary transforms him revengeful and quits the place. It is his journey of self discovery in which he travels far and wide, most often in to the depths of forests. Short Synopsis: Two filmmaker friends meet after fourteen years and have to spend a span of eight to ten hours together. As they celebrate the re-union, one narrates a story of a possible film to another. But soon, as the secession turns into a game of one up-man-ship; their bizarre past catches up with them. Central to this is the fatherhood of a fourteen year old girl! The duo by the end realise that they are as bankrupt as ever, in all sense of the word.
Director’s Note:This film is a sort of a reflection on my own profession, filmmaking. The genesis of this reflection is the fundamental question of the ability or inability to create something 'worthwhile'. The idea is to explore what is it to have such a ‘being’. Therefore, the film intends to go beyond its apparent subject.

About the Director: Ramchandra PN is a 1991 graduate from the ‘Film and TV Institute of India’. Over the years, he has been making documentaries, features, short films and TV programs. His first feature ‘Suddha’ (The Cleansing Rites) won him the Best Indian Film at the Osian Cinefan Festival of Asian Films, New Delhi, India in 2006 and an exhibition grant from ‘Hubart Bals Fund’, Netherlands. His second feature film ‘Putaani Party’ (The Kid Gang) won him the Best Children’s film at the Indian National Film Awards, 2009. It was also in consideration for the Asia Pacific Screen Awards Nomination, the same year.

illision BOUND is an experimental indie feature film from Protestarise features. Till now it has only had private screenings. It is a not for profit venture that addresses the issue of oppression and freedom from control of thought, feeling and expression. Discussions are encouraged post the screening. The filmmakers will be in Hyderabad next week and hope to screen the movie at lamakaan. No fee will be charged to attendees.

CHAI EDHI BE? is a Original MANCH Theatre's Production. It's a hilarious comedy Telugu play written and Directed by Srikanth Banala.

This play revolves around a tea seller who has a dream of getting a broken relationship intact, presented in a semi rural setup, this play makes you laugh throughout the conversations between variety of people thronging the tea stall. The rest of the play is how the tea seller makes things happen and makes things end well.

The play not only shows the characters of a particular class but also is a strong satire on the actions of all the dishonest people belonging to the other classes as well. The play dramatically presents many of the unseen problems we face today as a result of these people and their actions. The language of the play consists of the words which are used in a metaphorical manner in many situations .



It is an improvised play by children which has been prepared under the Children's Theatre Workshop(Weekend) by Samahaara.

About the Play:
SAAG-MEAT is a story written by an eminent writer Bhishma Sahni. This story talks about a relationship between two classes of our society. Jagga, the servant who works for a Punjabi family and who is the most loyal servant anyone can have, but an undesirable incident forces Jagga to take away his own life. And all this is narrated by Sumitra, the protagonist, who unfolds the truth of Jagga's death in a humorous way. The entire story is narrated while cooking Saag Meat in front of the audience, so that the not only enjoys the story but also taste the flavors.
