Inviting all for 'A guided tour of the Higgs Boson Discovery and the search beyond' by Prof. B Ananthanarayan.

In this talk he will present an accessible introduction to the phenomena that require the Higgs mechanism in the electro-weak interactions, and the prediction of the Higgs Boson and highlight the features of the great LHC experiment at CERN.

Many of the unsolved problems in the field of elementary particle physics such as dark matter will be commented upon and what we hope to see in the coming years at the LHC and elsewhere.

Prof. Ananthanarayan was born and raised in Hyderabad until he went to IIT Madras in 1980 for B. Tech. in Chemical Engineering and then a Masters and Ph. D. from the University of Delaware. After post-doctoral stints in PRL, Ahmedabad and Universities of Lausanne and Bern in Switzerland, he came to
IISc, Bangalore in 1996 and has been there ever since. He has Chaired the Centre for HIgh Energy for over 7 years and has been awarded the Rustom Choksi Award for Excellence in Science for 2014, and holds the MSIL Chair of the DIvision of Physical and Mathematical Sciences of IISc. He was Homi Bhabha Fellow 2009-2011 and serves on the editorial board of Current Science and the European Physical Journal.
He has a keen interest in bringing science to the people and has communicated in writing and in speech for a couple of decades.

This session should benefit everyone from young adults of 12th standard to adults.

Runki Goswami will dedicate an evening to Farida Khanum with her rendering of the singer's Ghazals on the birth anniversary of the legend.

Runki Goswami will sing some of the best and well known Ghazals of this Pakistani icon that have stood the test of times and have been declared to be memorable ones.

Runki is a music director with the Telugu film industry. She is trained in Indian classical music and has got a master's in Hindustanu Classical from Prayag Allahabad. Having performed in various platforms like AIR, national festivals in Delhi,Kolkata and Ranchi, Bengali Utsav association Hyderabad etc. Her current assignments include performing on thumri's and ghazals in in Los Angeles and New Jersey in the months of June - September 2016.

Most of my illustrations have the little elements related to my life..it can be anything love for food or travel or art...anger, happiness, fun etc. I've few characters like a girl ( who I believe is me ) , a guy , a dog , bird..etc which I use frequently in different situations & I try to imagine how they will behave.

Mostly my work consists of doodles made up of messy/imperfect lines. I focus on trying to bring out the feeling I want to convey more than the technicalities of drawing. I aim to draw the funnier side of even the most serious things smile emoticon As that keeps me happy!

A jury of 12 men is entrusted with the power to send an uneducated teenager to the electric chair for killing his father with a switchblade knife. They are locked into a jury room on a stifling hot summer day until they come up with a unanimous decision - either guilty or not guilty. The compelling, provocative play examines the twelve men's deep-seated personal prejudices, perceptual biases and anger, unreliable judgments, ignorance and fears, that threaten to taint their decision-making abilities, cause them to ignore the real issues in the case, and potentially lead them to a miscarriage of justice.

Giving wheels to artistic dreams, A Slam Dream has launched its first poetry tour and fundraiser. Hitting the road to spread the art of Spoken Word Poetry or Slam Poetry, and give people a chance to fall in love with this rare and mesmerizing art form, Figure of Speech is an opportunity to spread some art and wonder. It is also a fundraiser for Aarcha R S, the Founder of A Slam Dream's initiative Teach for Peace. The tour aims at spreading spoken word poetry and raising funds for causes such as the Middle Eastern refugee crisis. A Slam Dream is the only established slam poetry group in South India and one of four slam poetry groups from India to have represented India at an International Slam Poetry Conference in 2015. With its motto 'Poetry for a Cause', the group has been trying to use poetry and art as a medium of expression and change. Started in 2015, the group has spread across the country and has been successful in shedding some limelight on spoken word poetry.

But what is spoken word poetry? It is the kind of poetry that is written to be performed. It is an ancient art form that is slowly taking up its place among mainstream art forms.

What to expect: Figure of Speech Tour includes interactive sessions, workshops, performances and poetry slams(friendly competitions of slam poetry are called poetry slams), depending on your request and choice, headed by our young Founder, Aarcha R S.

Today let us pay homage to activist and writer Satnam followed by a screening of Sanjay Kak's "Red Ant Dream" film in which he was seen and reciting about the lives of Adivasis and their struggles.

Satnam, whose real name was Gurmeet Singh, authored
‘Jangalnama’, a book that gave an insight into the lives of the adivasis of Bastar and was an account of his travels in the Maoist guerrilla zone.

Satnam, who hailed from Amritsar had studied humanities at the Jawaharlal Nehru University in New Delhi.

This documentary 'Red Ant Dream' deals with the issue of "Maoist insurgency in India". It focuses on the Maoists in Bastar in Chhattisgarh, tribals fighting against industrialists in Niyamgiri in Odisha, and protestors acting in memory of the Leftist revolutionary Bhagat Singh in Punjab. This film shows the people of these regions resisting what they believe to be oppression. The film won a prize from the Busan International Film Festival.

With this event the studio wants to create an eco system for filmmakers to co exist & evolve, this is forum will address practical pain points of filmmaker like production (including pre & post), casting & other important issues. After the entire list of movies is screened we have a 30-45 min focused discussion moderated by the studio to find ans to some of the current problem of film making. A bi-monthly event held to promote short films; we call for short films entries to be sent to us. We accept films below 45 mins in this type. Your work can be submitted to Octopus Studios, the set of independent curator will go through the films & select a set of films. We screen selected short films to an elite audience who are short film enthusiasts. We introduce the filmmakers as well cast & crew to the audience. A short performance based on Rohith Vemula's last note. Three actors intersperse the text of Rohith's last letter with other texts, mainly poetry, to create a moving experience. The performance also takes up other letters, those targeting Rohith and "anti-national" activities. None of the texts is dramatised. In the simple act of reading and juxtaposing texts, the actors force us to look within and without, on the singularity of a particular tragedy and on the larger context that punishes a person for the accident of their birth.

Dramanon presents our Workshop production - Part 2 of our recent Theatre Workshop conducted in March-April

Part 1 of our workshop was conducted by Mr Ramakrishna Shenoy for a total of 24 hours over 4 weekends between March 13th & April 10th. Part 1 explored the various nuances of theatre including voice modulation, facial expressions, body language, diction, internalising of emotions, understanding group dynamics, etc.

Part 2 of our Theatre Workshop, held over the past 3-4 weeks involved training the actors over multiple rehearsals to play specific roles in preparation for this - The workshop production.

This show is a collection of 4 short plays performed by some of the participants of Theatre Workshop and directed by members from Dramanon.

Come join us while they take us through a journey of love, laughter, fury, compassion, disgust, horror, courage, wonder and tranquility.

People from Pune did a protest similiar to that of ours for KBR national park on 5th June, 2015 against illegal Trees cutting. They not only did a mass protest but also fought a legal battle against local Corporation and Garden Dept.

Finally, after continuous support of people and lot of public pressure. PMC decided to withdraw their decision of illegal tree cutting. So, environment lovers got huge success and saved 108 old trees.

Satej created this Documentary named "Trees of Pune" based on the events.

Another friend, Yvan, though burdened by his own problems, allows himself to be pulled into this disagreement. Eager to please, Yvan tells Serge he likes the painting. Lines are drawn and these old friends square off over the canvas, using it as an excuse to relentlessly batter one another over various failures. As their arguments become less theoretical and more personal, they border on destroying their friendships. At the breaking point, Serge hands Marc a felt tip pen and dares him: "Go on." This is where the friendship is finally tested, and the aftermath of action, and its reaction, affirms the power of those bonds.

Another friend, Yvan, though burdened by his own problems, allows himself to be pulled into this disagreement. Eager to please, Yvan tells Serge he likes the painting. Lines are drawn and these old friends square off over the canvas, using it as an excuse to relentlessly batter one another over various failures. As their arguments become less theoretical and more personal, they border on destroying their friendships. At the breaking point, Serge hands Marc a felt tip pen and dares him: "Go on." This is where the friendship is finally tested, and the aftermath of action, and its reaction, affirms the power of those bonds.

Metamorphosis theatre group presents "And Then There Were None" a mystery play by children based on a novel by Agatha Christie of the same title.

Synopsis: A group of people are lured into coming to an island under different pretexts, e.g. offers of employment or to enjoy a late summer holiday, or to meet old friends. All have been complicit in the death(s) of other human beings but either escaped justice or committed an act that was not subject to legal sanction. The guests and two servants who are present are "charged" with their respective "crimes" by a gramophone recording after dinner the first night and informed that they have been brought to the island to pay for their actions. They are the only people on the island, and cannot escape due to the distance from the mainland and the inclement weather, yet gradually all ten are killed in turn, in a manner that seems to parallel the ten deaths in the nursery rhyme. Nobody else seems to be left alive on the island by the time of the apparent last death. A confession, in the form of a postscript to the novel, unveils how the killings took place and who was responsible.

The students of Kathak Kalakshetra will present the choreographic compositions of Guru Sri Anjubabu, a pioneer of the Deccani style of Kathak. The opening piece is a sloka followed by kathak nritth, wherein the students will present thaat, tukdas, gat bhaav and tatkar. This will be followed by compositions based on bhava or abhinaya. The evening's performance will conclude with a Taraana, a lyrical piece in which freezes/ stills punctuate the flow of movement.

She is an aspirant of services to do her best for India-Humanity on a whole.

Dr Mythili Maratt Anoop is a committed and passionate Mohiniyattam and Kathak dancer. Mother, Assistant Professor of Humanities and classical dancer, she has juggled (struggled with) several roles.
She has been training under Guru Anjubabu since she made Hyderabad her home a few years ago. She is a professional classical dancer and has trained at a young age under Kalamandalam Kshemavathy, later at Nalanda (Mumbai) and in Shrutilaya (Mumbai) founded by Sunanda Nair and in Chennai under Smt. Gopika Varma with whom she has had a long association.

Monika Chakravorty is an extremely passionate dancer, who believes that dance is an important instrument to express one's self and communicate with the divine. She has 9+ years of performing experience in the field of Kathak Nritya.

“Is God a Taoist” is a dialogue between ‘a God’ and ‘a Mortal’. It is a series of ideas that treats a wide variety of subjects about life in general. A healthy discussion to shake our preconceived ideas about God and almost all other things or aspects or ideas that follow. The dialogue is from a book ‘The Tao is Silent’ n which Smullyan’s introduces the eastern philosophy to westerners. Smullyan sees the Taoist as "one who is not so much in search of something he hasn't, but who is enjoying what he has."

About the Author: Raymond Merrill Smullyan is an American mathematician, concert pianist, logician, Taoist philosopher, and magician. His first career was stage magic.

He was a professor of philosophy at Lehman College and the Graduate Center, City University of New York, and at Indiana University. He is also an amateur astronomer, using a six inch reflecting telescope for which he ground the mirror.

Smullyan has written several books about Taoist philosophy, which he believes neatly solves most or all traditional philosophical problems as well as integrating mathematics, logic, and philosophy into a cohesive whole. He is the author of many books on recreational mathematics and recreational logic. Most notably, one is titled ‘What Is the Name of This Book?’

About the Director:
Vidyanidhee Vanarase, also know as Prasad, was born and brought up in Pune. He completed his post graduation from the National School of Drama (NSD), New Delhi. He has directed more than fifty plays in Marathi, Hindi, Braj-Bundeli, Kannada and English. He has gained proficiency in various interrelated areas - Direction, Teaching and Mentoring, Administration and Management of arts and Applied Arts.

He is associated with several theatre organizations of international repute for more than a decade. He has worked with Prithvi International Theatre Festival, India, London International Festival of Theatre (LIFT), UK, Project Phakama, South Africa to name a few. He has been involved in theatre training for more than 20 years and has worked as visiting
faculty / guest director at several universities and theatre institutes in India and abroad. His plays have been performed in various parts of India in regional and national theatre festivals.

His plays have also traveled internationally to UK, Europe and Asia. He is a Founder Director of IAPAR (International Association for Performing Arts and
Research). IAPAR in the only Indian Member Institution of ITI/UNESCO-UNITWIN Network for
Higher Education in Performing Arts and he is on the Board of this network.

He is Secretary General of the Indian National Centre of International Theatre Institute - UNESCO.

Director’s Note:
"Directing ‘Is God A Taoist’ has been a very long journey. It all started almost fifteen years ago! A
friend came up with this ‘dialogue’ as an interesting read. We read it. It was intriguing. But
probably was not performable! So it was left at that point. And it has been haunting me since then.

Eventually I went back to it when Prof. Y S P Thorat asked me to do a dramatic reading of this text for his students of Philosophy. And we did that together. Soon, I was jointly teaching a course titled ‘Psychology of Improvisations’ along with Prof. Suparna Karpe. We took this dialogue as a starting point. It took us on a very beautiful journey. The kind of improvisational work students came up with was absolutely inspiring. And since then it has stayed with me.

Last month, I got a call from Vijaykumar Naik asking me if I would do a play with his group. I said yes instantaneously. I had no idea about which play I would like to do. We worked together in a workshop. And in one of our conversations, some members of the group mentioned that they would like to do something that they have never tried. And for some reason, this play flashed in my head. A play that talks about Philosophy, which does not follow the typical
structure of a well made play, which has two characters but a possibility of multiple actors, and
to top it all, it’s in English language. It was enough to try out for the first time…

I am not going to write much about the play itself. It is better that you see it and respond to it the
way you wish. Let me not make it prescriptive. After all, it is about free will…! Or not…!"

Is Kambakht Sathe Ka Kya Karen is an adaptation of the Marathi play, Sathecha Kay Karaycha, penned by the noted playwright Rajiv Naik and translated into Hindi by Jyoti Subhash.

The story focuses on the tender relationship between a husband and a wife. It tells us about the happily married life of a couple - Abhay, an ad filmmaker and Salma, a lecturer in college. Each of them face different tribulations in their professional lives, but Abhay takes his troubles far too seriously. He is of the opinion that his colleague Sathe does not deserve the recognition he gets. On the other hand, Salma loves her work and does not care about quick promotion and success. She believes that everything should be done with a pure heart. At a peak point, Salma deals with the situation and handles Abhay's frustration. At the end of the play, both build a strong trust in the relationship and create a companionship that surpasses understanding. The twists and turns and the tribulations the couple faces in balancing their married and professional lives form the rest of the story. This play tries to depict that a positive attitude can make things better.

Inviting all for 'A guided tour of the Higgs Boson Discovery and the search beyond' by Prof. B Ananthanarayan.

In this talk he will present an accessible introduction to the phenomena that require the Higgs mechanism in the electro-weak interactions, and the prediction of the Higgs Boson and highlight the features of the great LHC experiment at CERN.

Many of the unsolved problems in the field of elementary particle physics such as dark matter will be commented upon and what we hope to see in the coming years at the LHC and elsewhere.

Prof. Ananthanarayan was born and raised in Hyderabad until he went to IIT Madras in 1980 for B. Tech. in Chemical Engineering and then a Masters and Ph. D. from the University of Delaware. After post-doctoral stints in PRL, Ahmedabad and Universities of Lausanne and Bern in Switzerland, he came to
IISc, Bangalore in 1996 and has been there ever since. He has Chaired the Centre for HIgh Energy for over 7 years and has been awarded the Rustom Choksi Award for Excellence in Science for 2014, and holds the MSIL Chair of the DIvision of Physical and Mathematical Sciences of IISc. He was Homi Bhabha Fellow 2009-2011 and serves on the editorial board of Current Science and the European Physical Journal.
He has a keen interest in bringing science to the people and has communicated in writing and in speech for a couple of decades.

It is also a fundraiser for Aarcha R S, the Founder of A Slam Dream's initiative Teach for Peace. A Slam Dream is the only established slam poetry group in South India and one of four slam poetry groups from India to have represented India at an International Slam Poetry Conference in 2015. This event is aimed at making people understand the enormous amounts of data generated by various government agencies and how such data/information could be used.

Today let us pay homage to activist and writer Satnam followed by a screening of Sanjay Kak's "Red Ant Dream" film in which he was seen and reciting about the lives of Adivasis and their struggles.

Satnam, whose real name was Gurmeet Singh, authored
‘Jangalnama’, a book that gave an insight into the lives of the adivasis of Bastar and was an account of his travels in the Maoist guerrilla zone.

Satnam, who hailed from Amritsar had studied humanities at the Jawaharlal Nehru University in New Delhi.

This documentary 'Red Ant Dream' deals with the issue of "Maoist insurgency in India". It focuses on the Maoists in Bastar in Chhattisgarh, tribals fighting against industrialists in Niyamgiri in Odisha, and protestors acting in memory of the Leftist revolutionary Bhagat Singh in Punjab. This film shows the people of these regions resisting what they believe to be oppression. The film won a prize from the Busan International Film Festival.

With this event the studio wants to create an eco system for filmmakers to co exist & evolve, this is forum will address practical pain points of filmmaker like production (including pre & post), casting & other important issues. After the entire list of movies is screened we have a 30-45 min focused discussion moderated by the studio to find ans to some of the current problem of film making. A bi-monthly event held to promote short films; we call for short films entries to be sent to us. We accept films below 45 mins in this type. Your work can be submitted to Octopus Studios, the set of independent curator will go through the films & select a set of films. We screen selected short films to an elite audience who are short film enthusiasts. We introduce the filmmakers as well cast & crew to the audience. A short performance based on Rohith Vemula's last note. Three actors intersperse the text of Rohith's last letter with other texts, mainly poetry, to create a moving experience. The performance also takes up other letters, those targeting Rohith and "anti-national" activities. None of the texts is dramatised. In the simple act of reading and juxtaposing texts, the actors force us to look within and without, on the singularity of a particular tragedy and on the larger context that punishes a person for the accident of their birth.

Dramanon presents our Workshop production - Part 2 of our recent Theatre Workshop conducted in March-April

Part 1 of our workshop was conducted by Mr Ramakrishna Shenoy for a total of 24 hours over 4 weekends between March 13th & April 10th. Part 1 explored the various nuances of theatre including voice modulation, facial expressions, body language, diction, internalising of emotions, understanding group dynamics, etc.

Part 2 of our Theatre Workshop, held over the past 3-4 weeks involved training the actors over multiple rehearsals to play specific roles in preparation for this - The workshop production.

This show is a collection of 4 short plays performed by some of the participants of Theatre Workshop and directed by members from Dramanon.

Come join us while they take us through a journey of love, laughter, fury, compassion, disgust, horror, courage, wonder and tranquility.

People from Pune did a protest similiar to that of ours for KBR national park on 5th June, 2015 against illegal Trees cutting. They not only did a mass protest but also fought a legal battle against local Corporation and Garden Dept.

Finally, after continuous support of people and lot of public pressure. PMC decided to withdraw their decision of illegal tree cutting. So, environment lovers got huge success and saved 108 old trees.

Satej created this Documentary named "Trees of Pune" based on the events.

Metamorphosis theatre group presents "And Then There Were None" a mystery play by children based on a novel by Agatha Christie of the same title.

Synopsis: A group of people are lured into coming to an island under different pretexts, e.g. offers of employment or to enjoy a late summer holiday, or to meet old friends. All have been complicit in the death(s) of other human beings but either escaped justice or committed an act that was not subject to legal sanction. The guests and two servants who are present are "charged" with their respective "crimes" by a gramophone recording after dinner the first night and informed that they have been brought to the island to pay for their actions. They are the only people on the island, and cannot escape due to the distance from the mainland and the inclement weather, yet gradually all ten are killed in turn, in a manner that seems to parallel the ten deaths in the nursery rhyme. Nobody else seems to be left alive on the island by the time of the apparent last death. A confession, in the form of a postscript to the novel, unveils how the killings took place and who was responsible.

The students of Kathak Kalakshetra will present the choreographic compositions of Guru Sri Anjubabu, a pioneer of the Deccani style of Kathak. The opening piece is a sloka followed by kathak nritth, wherein the students will present thaat, tukdas, gat bhaav and tatkar. This will be followed by compositions based on bhava or abhinaya. The evening's performance will conclude with a Taraana, a lyrical piece in which freezes/ stills punctuate the flow of movement.

Kathak Kalakshetra has been founded and directed by Shri Anjubabu. Nritya Bhushan Anju Babu Guru, Dancer, Choreographer is the sole torch bearer for Deccani style of Kathak Dance originated from Hyderabad! • His awards and recognitions include Nritya Bhushan, Silver Crown • Gold Medal in 1972 from seven Star Syndicate, Felicitated for Research and Contribution towards Kathak at Tyagaraya Gana Sabha in 1985.

A Graded artist of Dhoordharshan now, The Cultural Ministry of the Government of India recognized the spark of excellence in the young ten year old then and supported her with scholarships to pursue her training for the next decade. She did her graduation in B.Tech. (CSE) with a distinction which in turn gave her an opportunity to work in an MNC through campus placements. She holds distinction in Master of Performing Arts-M.A Kuchipudi from Potti Sree Ramulu Telugu University and also a First rank holder in M.A at Sri Sidhendhra yogi Kuchipudi KalaPeetam,Kuchipudi. She is an aspirant of services to do her best for India-Humanity on a whole.

Dr Mythili Maratt Anoop is a committed and passionate Mohiniyattam and Kathak dancer. Mother, Assistant Professor of Humanities and classical dancer, she has juggled (struggled with) several roles.
She has been training under Guru Anjubabu since she made Hyderabad her home a few years ago. She is a professional classical dancer and has trained at a young age under Kalamandalam Kshemavathy, later at Nalanda (Mumbai) and in Shrutilaya (Mumbai) founded by Sunanda Nair and in Chennai under Smt. Gopika Varma with whom she has had a long association.

Monika Chakravorty is an extremely passionate dancer, who believes that dance is an important instrument to express one's self and communicate with the divine. She has 9+ years of performing experience in the field of Kathak Nritya.

“Is God a Taoist” is a dialogue between ‘a God’ and ‘a Mortal’. It is a series of ideas that treats a wide variety of subjects about life in general. A healthy discussion to shake our preconceived ideas about God and almost all other things or aspects or ideas that follow. The dialogue is from a book ‘The Tao is Silent’ n which Smullyan’s introduces the eastern philosophy to westerners. Smullyan sees the Taoist as "one who is not so much in search of something he hasn't, but who is enjoying what he has."

About the Author: Raymond Merrill Smullyan is an American mathematician, concert pianist, logician, Taoist philosopher, and magician. His first career was stage magic.

He was a professor of philosophy at Lehman College and the Graduate Center, City University of New York, and at Indiana University. He is also an amateur astronomer, using a six inch reflecting telescope for which he ground the mirror.

Smullyan has written several books about Taoist philosophy, which he believes neatly solves most or all traditional philosophical problems as well as integrating mathematics, logic, and philosophy into a cohesive whole. He is the author of many books on recreational mathematics and recreational logic. Most notably, one is titled ‘What Is the Name of This Book?’

About the Director:
Vidyanidhee Vanarase, also know as Prasad, was born and brought up in Pune. He completed his post graduation from the National School of Drama (NSD), New Delhi. He has directed more than fifty plays in Marathi, Hindi, Braj-Bundeli, Kannada and English. He has gained proficiency in various interrelated areas - Direction, Teaching and Mentoring, Administration and Management of arts and Applied Arts.

He is associated with several theatre organizations of international repute for more than a decade. He has worked with Prithvi International Theatre Festival, India, London International Festival of Theatre (LIFT), UK, Project Phakama, South Africa to name a few. He has been involved in theatre training for more than 20 years and has worked as visiting
faculty / guest director at several universities and theatre institutes in India and abroad. His plays have been performed in various parts of India in regional and national theatre festivals.

His plays have also traveled internationally to UK, Europe and Asia. He is a Founder Director of IAPAR (International Association for Performing Arts and
Research). IAPAR in the only Indian Member Institution of ITI/UNESCO-UNITWIN Network for
Higher Education in Performing Arts and he is on the Board of this network.

He is Secretary General of the Indian National Centre of International Theatre Institute - UNESCO.

"Directing ‘Is God A Taoist’ has been a very long journey. It all started almost fifteen years ago! A
friend came up with this ‘dialogue’ as an interesting read. We read it. It was intriguing. But
probably was not performable! So it was left at that point. And it has been haunting me since then.

Eventually I went back to it when Prof. Y S P Thorat asked me to do a dramatic reading of this text for his students of Philosophy. And we did that together. Soon, I was jointly teaching a course titled ‘Psychology of Improvisations’ along with Prof. Suparna Karpe. We took this dialogue as a starting point. It took us on a very beautiful journey. The kind of improvisational work students came up with was absolutely inspiring. And since then it has stayed with me.

Last month, I got a call from Vijaykumar Naik asking me if I would do a play with his group. I said yes instantaneously. I had no idea about which play I would like to do. We worked together in a workshop. And in one of our conversations, some members of the group mentioned that they would like to do something that they have never tried. And for some reason, this play flashed in my head. A play that talks about Philosophy, which does not follow the typical
structure of a well made play, which has two characters but a possibility of multiple actors, and
to top it all, it’s in English language. It was enough to try out for the first time…

I am not going to write much about the play itself. It is better that you see it and respond to it the
way you wish. Let me not make it prescriptive. After all, it is about free will…! Or not…!"

Is Kambakht Sathe Ka Kya Karen is an adaptation of the Marathi play, Sathecha Kay Karaycha, penned by the noted playwright Rajiv Naik and translated into Hindi by Jyoti Subhash.

The story focuses on the tender relationship between a husband and a wife. It tells us about the happily married life of a couple - Abhay, an ad filmmaker and Salma, a lecturer in college. Each of them face different tribulations in their professional lives, but Abhay takes his troubles far too seriously. He is of the opinion that his colleague Sathe does not deserve the recognition he gets. On the other hand, Salma loves her work and does not care about quick promotion and success. She believes that everything should be done with a pure heart. At a peak point, Salma deals with the situation and handles Abhay's frustration. At the end of the play, both build a strong trust in the relationship and create a companionship that surpasses understanding. The twists and turns and the tribulations the couple faces in balancing their married and professional lives form the rest of the story. This play tries to depict that a positive attitude can make things better.
