A proposal for a handwriting improvement workshop to be conducted at Lamakaan on the 28th of April 2024. This workshop aims to cater to individuals aged 10 years and above who are interested in enhancing their handwriting skills. Timing of workshop from 10.30 am to 3pm. Entry Fee: Rs. 900 (includes study materials, writing materials, and lunch for participants)
The workshop will be led by esteemed professionals in the field: Dr. B. Anand Rout (Graphologist and author) with over 25 years of experience, Dr. Rout specializes in analyzing and improving handwriting through graphology techniques, forensic studies and graphotherapy. PB Devi (Cursive Specialist) also with 24 years of experience, PB Devi is an expert in cursive writing and will provide specialized guidance to participants along with her team.
The workshop is designed to be highly beneficial for participants, especially students whose handwriting may be deemed as less than satisfactory. Our team from HGIplus Institute, Tilaknagar, Nallakunta, will ensure that attendees receive personalized attention and effective techniques to enhance their handwriting skills.

I am associated with Lamakaan for the past 12 years and has conducted successful workshops in the past, I am confident that this handwriting improvement workshop will be well-received by the community. About the film: Girhein is a journey with the filmmakers as they revisit their depressive phases, trying to understand their experiences and impulses. Weaving diary entries, letters, artwork, and poetry through a series of conversations, they reflect on the tools that helped them cope with depression and stay afloat. The Film emphasizes the therapeutic quality of engaging with art and the significance of social support in sailing through depression.

About Sakshi Gulati: Sakshi Gulati is an alumnus of the Film & Television Institute of India (FTII) in Screenwriting & Direction. She has also studied film appreciation and mass communication and has worked with various non-profits on their rural employment initiatives. She has worked on Non-fiction films and media literacy initiatives and has documented folk cultures. I was the festival Director of the CHINH India KIDS Film Festival (2008-10). Her short films have been screened at various national & International platforms. FLOATING FISH - Directed by Vamsi Telugu

About the film: The documentary follows a day journey on a ferry which travels between two villages. It particularly focuses on daily travelers, where the ferry is their part of life on a day-to-day basis. It tries to capture the spirit of the travelers and life in general through their conversations as such in a poetic form.

About Vamsi T: Vamsi Telugu, is a Hyderabad based filmmaker and cinematographer. He is an alumnus of Film & Television Institute of India (FTII), in Direction and Screenplay Writing. Currently, he teaches Film Direction at Annapurna College of Film and Media, Hyderabad, Telangana. His documentary ‘Floating Fish’ was awarded Best Film (2020) by Toto Funds for Arts, Bangalore. He works with ‘Essay films’ and ‘Observational Cinema’ & has frequently shot for the Language and Culture Dept of Telangana.

We will divide the people into groups of five and introduce them to the art of picture Book making and the advantages of reading and making picture books.

The short story is by a famous Russian playwright Anton Chekhov. "The Seduction" is a comedy that revolves around a womaniser who targets married couples. He is seen as charming and focused. Other men's wives seem to fall for him almost instantaneously due to his manipulation and also the lack of romance in their own relationships.

Mime is the acting out of the story through body motions without the use of speech.. come and witness the beautiful mime show with entire family and friends that will be musical and a perfect treat for your eyes and heart. Tickets will be sold at venue at Rs 100/- per person or child.

This self-funded documentary is about what used to be a little known event until the 1980s but which has now become the single largest annual pilgrimage in India: the Kanwar Yatra. The film looks at not just the religious and cultural aspects of the Yatra but also its socio-economic impact, the environmental issues attached to it (for instance, the state of the Ganga and the potential for man-animal conflict, etc), the sheer maleness of the event, and how the occasion is being used by Hindu right-wing groups to push their majoritarian agenda and the showcase it has become for Hindu nationalism.

The nearly 90-minute film was shot over a period of six years and was an official selection at the 8th Kolkata People's Film Festival in 2022. The film has had a screening at Prithvi Theatre, Bombay, and over 35 universities across the world, including Princeton, Yale, Columbia and Stanford, have acquired it to screen/stream it for their students, faculty and staff.

The play is about two characters and their behavior towards life and the way they handle the situation - they both have huge age difference, one young 14 year old and another one very young 60 year old. It will be an evening that will make you smile, laugh and give good times. Ticket Rs 100/- per head

The event's theme revolve around Unwritten Voices, emotions and feelings - here we are bringing a small group of people together with an aim to facilitate letter writing and art into a silent yet expressive space followed by grounding structure. This is a mental health movement driven space where one's expressiveness, permissions to do so and well - being is fostered.
